This kitchen utensil was redesigned and made by Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
APPROXIMATE SIZE: 10" L x 1-3/4" W x 1/4" D
Available in your choice of cherry or maple.
This style of a stirring implement was used by a famous TV chef of the 1960's/70's.
It has been designed and hand-sanded in two styles—one specifically for the left-handed user, so everything will be "right" with them, and one for the right-handed cook. The first two photos shown are a cherry left-handed "food stick"; the right-handed one has the flat edge on the other side.
It is great for soups, stews, sauces, pastas—anything that needs stirring! Mix a pitcher of lemonade, make scrambled eggs, ice a cake—it does everything! It is also great for reaching deep down into the peanut butter or mayonnaise jar. (When using for spreading, hold the spurtle with the flat side facing you and the straight edge down.)
No glue or stains have been used.
Treated with non-toxic mineral oil and beeswax. Food safe.
Fry pan friendly!
All of our utensils are made with new wood. Reclaimed/recycled woods can be toxic and should never be used in food products such as cutting boards or utensils.
An absolute must for your wooden utensil collection. Check out our other kitchen utensils on the Etsy listing!
Care: Simply wipe with damp soapy cloth. Do not let sit in water or put in dishwasher.
Oil with cooking oil when wood feels dry.
Please Note that due to these being handmade the style will be similar but not exactly like the photo. Sanding creates different variances. Also the grains in the wood can vary.
