This "japanese joinery with an asian look" kitchen stool was designed and built from solid CHERRY (hardwood) by Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, CANADA.
- Each stool is signed by Paul, numbered and dated and ledgered.
- No stains have been used—the colour variance is a result of the different hardwoods being used.
The round circle (plug) made from solid walnut and solid maple is one of Paul's trademarks - it is the same pattern as the outside of his building (gallery). He puts these "crazy plugs" in the products to make them uniquely his own design and cannot be copied by anyone else. They are truly a "Masterpiece".
These stools are made with threw mortise and tenon joinery with wedges. They cannot be disassembled. There are no screws or nails used. Because of this type of joinery this stool will last a lifetime, it will not come apart and it will not come loose. It is guaranteed for 20 years with normal use. It will outlast you!
The seat has been routered out so that it accepts the contours of your bottom nicely. It is very comfortable to sit on. Paul calls them his 'bug huggers".
- Approx. size is 15-1/2''W X 15-1/2' D X 18-1/2H. This height of stool is to be used at your kitchen table or at a desk. Simply tuck it away under the table/desk when not in used.
Also set it at your front door for when you need to put your shoes on and need a place to sit. it doesn't take up much space.
Availabe with and without the Laser design.
